VietBridge AI ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Vietnamese learning and translation platform (VietCoursePro).

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register via OAuth (Google, GitHub, etc.), we receive your name, email address, and a unique identifier. We do not store your OAuth password.

Usage Data

We log translation queries, chat interactions, and learning progress to provide and improve our services. Logs include timestamps, feature used, and token counts.

Voice Recordings

When you use the voice practice feature, audio is temporarily processed to evaluate pronunciation. Recordings are not permanently stored on our servers.

Photos

When you use the photo translation feature, selected images are sent to our server for OCR text extraction and translation. Images are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored.

Cookies

We use a session cookie for authentication and an anonymous session cookie (vb_anon_id) for non-logged-in users to track daily usage quotas. No third-party tracking cookies are used.

Provide and maintain our translation, chat, and learning services
Track your learning progress, streaks, and achievements
Personalize your learning experience using spaced repetition algorithms
Enforce usage quotas (daily/monthly limits)

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to provide our platform:

Alibaba Cloud DashScope (Qwen): For AI-powered conversation and translation
Google Translate TTS: As a fallback for text-to-speech pronunciation
TiDB Cloud: For secure database hosting
AWS CloudFront: For content delivery

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your translation and chat content is sent to our AI provider for processing. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a MySQL database hosted on secure cloud servers. We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit and implement industry-standard security practices to protect your data at rest.

Access your personal data via your Profile page
Request deletion of your account and all associated data
Export your learning progress data
Opt out of non-essential data collection

7. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Delete Account page, or from within the app at Profile → Delete Account. This will permanently remove your profile, learning progress, chat history, favorites, and all associated data. You can also request deletion by emailing support@vietbridge.ai.

8. Children's Privacy

Our service is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. The app can be used without creating an account.

10. Changes to This Policy
